New Delhi: The visit planned by the Head of the Afghan Army Gen of Guardian Mohammad Ahmadzai to India this week has been canceled amid the rising Taliban attack in Afghanistan, according to senior Afghan officials on Monday.
Gen Ahmadzai is scheduled to arrive here on Tuesday on a three-day visit to explore ways to deepen bilateral military bonds in the Taliban background carrying offensive operations throughout Afghanistan after withdrawal of foreign troops.
“The visit by the head of our Army has been postponed due to the intensity of war and attacks and offensive increases Taliban,” said the Afghan embassy official.
According to other officials, the visit is likely to take place on the next stage.
Gen Ahmadzai is scheduled to hold spacious talks with Indian military brass including his MM Naravane gene and national security advisor Ajit Doval.
Afghanistan has reached its key ally in seeking support to strengthen its security forces in the Taliban background using extensive violence to expand its influence throughout the country after the US began to attract troops from May.
In recent years India has provided at least five military helicopters to a war-hit by a war that has tried to strengthen air power.
Afghanistan has also been seeking Indian assistance in making a functional Soviet era helicopter and transport aircraft that are not in flight.
This country has struggled to get spare parts for airplanes and helicopters due to Western sanctions against Moscow.
Last month, President of Ashraf Ghani appointed Gen Ahmadzai as the new head of the Army staff, replacing Gen Yasin Zia.
India is the main stakeholder in peace and stability of Afghanistan.
This has invested nearly $ 3 billion in assistance and reconstruction activities in this country.
India has supported the national peace and reconciliation process led by Afghanistan, owned by Afghanistan and Afghanistan.
