New Delhi: Head of General Afghan Army Guardian Wali Mohammad Ahmadzai is scheduled to visit India next week to seek further encouragement in military assistance to his country-hit by war in the middle of the Taliban making rapid progress by withdrawal of US-led troops from Afghanistan.
Gen Ahmadzai is scheduled to fulfill the national security adviser Ajit Doval, Chief of Staff General Bipin Rawat, Head of General Army M M M Naravane and Air Maaf Marshal R S Bhadauria, among others, during a four-day visit, the source said on Tuesday.
“A step-up in Military Supplies from India will obviously be on the agenda during the visit of the Chairperson of the Afghan Army from 27 to 30 July.
He will also visit a defense company, including the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun and the Army War College in Mhow,” said A source.
The visit came when the Taliban had turned his efforts to the forced region which was previously controlled by the Afghan government through a raging battle in several provinces, even though he claimed commitment to peaceful political settlement.
India is clearly related to losing its influence if the Taliban regains power in Kabul.
Pakistan, who has a strong relationship with the Taliban, and China has shifted to exploit vacuum space in Afghanistan.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has attacked in Pakistan for hiding the Taliban leadership, not enough to make them seriously involved in peace talks, and encourage the entry of the rebels from across the border.
Earlier this year, the rattling gene also emphasized the international community must ensure the withdrawal of US troops and NATO from Afghanistan did not “create space for other annoyers” to rotate their way.
“Afghanistan is a nation that is rich in resources.
There are several countries that tend to exploit such resources for their own benefit without the benefits that occur in the community or the nation concerned.
This must be prevented …
Afghanistan must be for Afghans,” he said.
Apart from assistance worth almost $ 3 billion for the development and reconstruction activities in Afghanistan, India has also supplied military hardware, including four mi-25 armed helicopters and three lightweight chopper chopper, to Afghan National Defense & Security Forces (Andsf ).
, India has also trained thousands of Afghan military personnel in counter-terrorism operations, military terrain crafts, intelligence and information technology, among other fields.
