Kottayam: Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, the highest head of the Syrian Orthodox Malankara Church in India, who played an important role in starting several changes in the road that violated the church, died early on Monday, a church spokesman said.
He was 74 years old.
He underwent treatment for post-covid-19 complications, said a church spokesman.
Senior Imam, who suffered from lung cancer since December 2019, has recovered from Covid-19 infection in February this year.
