New Delhi: Admiral Naval Chief R day Kumar on Wednesday declared a sincere condolence to the family of three naval personnel who were killed at the Ranvir Board in Mumbai’s Dockyard on Tuesday, a official statement said.
Chairman of the Master of Petty Officer (McPO) Krisar Krisar Krisar, McPo Secure Class Surinder Kumar and the second grade McPO K Singh was killed and 11 others were injured in a blast on the Indian Navy (INS) Ranvir on the courtyard of the Navy in Mumbai.
The Indian Navy said on Wednesday: “Admiral R Kumar, the Navy Chief of Staff and all Indian Navy personnel extended sincere condolences to the Krisar McPo I family, Surovel Kumar MCPO II & Ak Singh McPo II, who surrendered in injury caused By injury by the Malang incident at Ranvir Board on January 18, 2022.
“” We fully stand with family in this difficult time, “he added.
INS Ranvir is a destroyer.
“That (ranvir) is on the spread of cross-coastal operations from the East Navy Command since November 2021 and will soon return to the Pangkalan Port,” Navy said on Tuesday.
The investigation board has been institutionalized to investigate the cause of the incident, the Navy said.
In August 2013, the explosion on the Sindhurakshak ship had claimed the life of 18 sailors and caused a submarine to sink at the Port of Mumbai.
