The head of the United Nations said the world ‘should not leave’ Afghans

KABUL: The head of the United Nations called to end the violence in Afghanistan and urged the international community to unite to ensure that all human rights were, especially women and girls, respected.
Secretary General Antonio Guterres appealed to the UN Security Council at an emergency meeting on Monday “and the overall international community to stand together, worked together and acted together.” He said he was “mainly related to the stories of human rights violations against women and fears Afghanistan who feared back to the darkest days” in the 1990s when the Taliban ruled and threw a woman to get education and wore Draconian steps on woman .
Guterres said “ The world follows the events in Afghanistan with a heavy heart and anxious in about what is in front ” and with the future of the country and the hopes and dreams of the young generation of Afghanistan in balance, the coming days “will be very important.” On “this grave clock,” Secretary General urged all parties, especially the Taliban, “to fully restrain from protecting life and to ensure that humanitarian needs can be fulfilled.” Guterres said the United Nations continued to have staff and offices in the area now under the control of Taliban, and so far respected.
“ Above all, we will stay and provide support from Afghans in the time of those in need.
“” We can’t and should not leave the Afghans, “he said.
