Ludhiana: Chairman of the Punjab female commission State of Manha Gulati on Sunday met with seven-year survivor rape in his village.
He said the defendant was still runaway and will soon be arrested.
He was also accompanied by a political secretary for the ministerial head, Captain Sandeep Singh Sandhu and Ludhiana (Rustic) Senior Police Supervisory (SSP) Chararjit Singh Sohal.
The seven-year-old girl was raped by her neighbors on July 9.
The defendant was running around and Ludhiana police (rustic) had formed several teams to arrest him.
When talking to the media after meeting the victim and his parents, Gulati assured that the defendant would soon be arrested.
He said the Commission had issued a strict direction to the police because he accused the earliest defendant.
Captain Sandhu said the case to provide financial compensation to survivors and his family was conveyed by the Ludhiana District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) for further action.
He also convinced full support for the victim and his family.
