Cairo: The tribal clash between Arabs and non-Arabs killed at least 24 people on Sunday in the Sudan Western Darfur region, said aid group.
It was the last fight of antarcomunal violence to shake the territory contained in conflict.
The battle grew from Saturday’s financial disputes between two people in the camp for refugees in the Krineik area in West Darfur Province, Adam Regal said, a spokesman for general coordination for refugees and moved at Darfur.
Regal said the Arab militia known as Janjaweed attacked the Early Sunday camp, bolding and looting property.
At least 35 others were injured, he said.
The hashtag that reads “Cruelly is bleeding” in Arabic while the trend on Twitter on Sunday, with users posting recordings is said to show the house and corpse wrapped in a shroud of burial.
This camp is located to the east of the provincial capital of Genena, and houses move people from the African Masalit tribe, who were forced to leave their homes during the Darfur conflict.
Violence in Krineik is the latest for Rock West Darfur in recent weeks.
Last month, land disputes between Arabs and non-Arabs in the territory of the Jebel caused bloody clashes that killed at least 17 dead and 12 others were injured.
In the nearest South Darfur province, tribal clashes for the past two months have claimed the lives of at least 45 people in the city of Tawilla, according to the Sudanese doctor’s committee.
Such clashes raised significant challenges to efforts by the Sudan Transitional Authority to end a long rebellion for decades in several regions such as Darfur who were destroyed by war.
Sudan is in the midst of a fragile democratic transition since the People’s rebellion forces the elimination of Autocrat Omar al-Bashir in April 2019.
Darfur conflict broke out when the rebels from the Central Ethnic Community and Sub-Saharan in the region launched a rebellion in 2003, complaining of the oppression by the government Dominated by Arabic in Khartoum.
The Al-Bashir government responded with the air bombing campaign and a raid by Janjaweed, which accused accusing mass murder and rape.
Up to 300,000 people were killed and 2.7 million were encouraged from their homes.
Al-Bashir, who was in prison in Khartoum, faced allegations of genocide and international crime against humanity relating to Darfur conflict.
