Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Monday concluded to hear the petition by the opposition leader in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari from BJP and his brother in connection with the alleged abuse of assistance materials to them.
Chanda’s causic justice reserves the judgment on their petitions who seek the process of processes against them in matters after the conclusions of the applicant and the state.
Suvendu Adhikari and his siblings Soumendu had been pealed in connection with alleged misuse of assistance material in Contai in the Meditorm District of Medinipur, after they moved the High Court.
The lawyer for Adhikaris has claimed that Suvendu was involved wrong because he had joined the rival political parties and was later appointed as opposition leader in the State Assembly.
Suvendu, former minister in the government of Mamata Banerjee had previously joined BJP who left the Trinamool Congress in December 2020 ahead of the assembly election held earlier this year.
