Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court on Friday directed the state government and Ranchi Municipal Corporation to provide details of the lake and water agency in the capital.
A division bench from chairman of Justice Dr.
Ravi Rajan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad heard litigation of public interest in the encroachment of water body in the capital.
The bench also directed the Indian Director Geology Survey to appear in the case on the next hearing date.
The court also demanded information with regard to encroachment in Dhurwa and Kanke Dams in the city.
Pills were submitted in front of the court to eliminate encroachment from Lake Ranchi and Dam Dhurwa and Kanke.
The petition has been submitted by Khushbu Kataruka who has stated that the water body will be interrupted and also contaminated without action.

Some hectares of land in the enchatchment area of dam and lake have been filled and the buildings have been built, said the petition.
