Bengaluru: The pursuit of his visit to Delhi as a success, Minister of Minister B Yediyurappa on Saturday said the middle leaders had asked him to continue his position and that there was no discussion about leadership changes.
“The central leaders have asked me to continue as the main minister and strengthen the party.
It is our duty to follow their instructions from time to time.
There are no questions about leadership changes,” Yediyurappa told reporters here from New Delhi.
Previously on that day, Yediyurappa had fired news reports on his resignation as the main minister as “at all incorrect”.
Denying discussions about alternative leadership, he stressed that there was no scarcity of replacement leaders at BJP.
However, he argued that the party had given him charges and he would work to strengthen the party by bringing everyone.
Yediyurappa has summoned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President JP Nadda in the national capital during a two-day visit and held a discussion about the problems that started from politics to the Cauvery River, which was the bone fight between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
