New Delhi: In a shocking step, NHIDCL, a subsidiary of road and highway services, has requested a highway builder to install the Bust of the former Executive Director at the Z-MORH Tunnel Portal in Jammu and Kashmir in the next 15 days.
The former director, who is responsible for J & K died because Covid-19 when the second was its peak.
This step has surprised a lot because NHIDCL has directed APCO Shri Amarnathjitunnelway for “urgent obedience”.
Communication to the company issued on Saturday said, “This is to assess MD, NHIDCL during its official visit to the Z-MORH project on August 26, 2021, directed the concession holder to place Bust Sanjeev Malik, former Ed (ii), NHIDCL on the portal Z- MORH before the visit of the Minister of Transportation and the highway scheduled for September 26, 2021.
“The source said such a direction requires earlier permission from the Ministry of Transportation and unprecedented to ask for a private player to put bust.
“If the government institution wants this, it should do it alone.

NHIDCL applies two crucial tunnel projects at J & K in Zojila and Z-MORH.
In the case of the zojila tunnel, NHIDCL experienced controversy to provide a consultation contract to private players.
After several complaints, the agency must suspend the contract and have invited a new offer.
