Responding to a virtual conference titled ‘Dismantling Global Hindutva’, scheduled for September 10-12, Hindu American Foundation (HAF), an advocacy group, has written to the president and key administrator of all 41 universities registered as a co-sponsor of the event, asking them to keep them away Self from the event and partisan and Hindu-phobia motifs.
The foundation also requested that university officials ensure the safety and welfare of Hindu students, faculties, and staff who may feel targeted or threatened, or face hostility or harassment as a result of the type of generalization, misunderstanding, and ‘others’.

The letter also expressed concern about the impact of the event in students, stating, “Hindu students are targeted and reporting the feeling of being attacked to oppose the description of Hindu phobia for their religion in class and to oppose anti-Hindu hatred on campuses.” Haf, according to his statement, With all my heart to support the freedom of speech and academics guided by the Hindu Temperature of Satya (Sejati), Vada and Satvada (debate and viva (wisdom).
