The hospital chooses for the first paid jab not available for 2

Nagpur: Many beneficiaries aged 45 years and over who have taken their first covishield dose at their selected hospital by paying a simple RS250 in April the first week now find themselves in improvement.
Now, because their second dose is due after 12 weeks, the situation has changed more than just the price of the dose of their choice.
The hospital where they get their first dose is not available now.
Until April ended, 28 large hospitals were vaccinated but policy changes carrying paid inoculation in these centers stopped from May the first week.
The city now has seven newcomers who offer Jabs at RS780, RS1.410 and RS1.145 for each dose of covishield, covaxin and sputnik v, respectively.
Strangely, even when the hospital was set up being struggling to get fresh stock, some relatively new clinics and hospitals get covaxin (a lot of current selection vaccines), or a dose of Sputnik V and Covishield.
Some recipients told Tii that they were quite surprised to learn that the hospital was choosing they would not be able to give them the second dose in the near future.
Also, 6.36 vaccinations have occurred in the age group of 45+.
Of these, around 2.16 the Lakh beneficiaries have taken their first covidshield dose in April the first week, making them eligible for the second shooting now.
Director of Alexis Hospital (Administrative) Dr.
Tustar Gawad said, “In line with the previous policy, the state government should supply vaccines to private hospitals for public society vaccination.
This will ensure a fair vaccine distribution and people will be in a position to get Vaccines at their selected hospital.
“Gawad added,” However, with a change in procurement policy, only 25% of vaccine bottles are now available for direct purchases from manufacturers by private hospitals.
The Lion part of this 25% quota is cornered by a large hospital chain As a result of a private private hospital struggling to get their supply, “he said.
Vidarbha Hospitals Convenor Association Dr.
Anup Marar said that previously, a private hospital bought a vaccine from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and charged a fixed RS250 dose.
“Thus, most of the benefits of 45+ benefits have taken their first dose at the hospital closest to their choice.
Now, when their second dose is due, vaccines are not available in the same hospital,” he said.
Dr.
Marar also showed awaiting endless stock procurement.
“The new GR has set a portal to a private hospital to get a vaccine through the national health authority website.
It is 3 weeks and the payment line has not been opened,” he said.
“The manufacturer said that they followed the government’s instructions and released a vaccine to the hospital intended,” he added.
Dr.
Marar also highlighted the alleged bias in the supply of vaccines.
“It is an irony that is said to be an experienced hospital to get a bottle, while some certain clinics and the hospital surprisingly can obtain a covaxin vaccine, sputnik v or covishield,” he said.
Marar added, “It is hoped that the new GR guidelines will lead to a fairly proportional transparency and distribution in various geographical locations for the ease of beneficiaries.
Unfortunately, it has not come true.” Facts & Figure 6.36 Lakh | Total Vaccination in 45+ Group Age 2.16 lakh * | The first covishield dose for 45+ in April the first week in private and government centers, the second dose is now 28+ | Pvt Hospital Provides First Dose to 45+ Age Group on April 24.690 | The second total dose of all age groups between June 19-25 (* estimated numbers)
