Ludhiana: After more than six months, the hospitality industry stared.
From March to June, restaurants, hotels, banquet rooms, and the wedding palace experienced many restrictions due to severe coronavirus second waves.
Now after two months loosen restrictions, such as allowing to eat and increase the limit on the number of guests at the wedding and other functions, the hospitality industry, especially restaurants and banquet rooms, sighing relieved.
However, the wedding palace is still to revive the business because a large budget marriage has not yet begun.
Entrepreneurs want the country and center to help revive the industry function to be allowed to only have 20 guests per event.
A large number of tent homeowners, catering and event managers leave business and there are many layoffs since March.
Even five-star hotels were forced to reduce staff strength.
But now after two months of easing restrictions, businesses finally start taking.
“Rai added,” Footfall and bookings have continued, but large functions did not occur until now because the wedding palace did not register business, but there was a query for November and December.
“Mayak Chabra, restaurant owner at Sarabha Nagar,” From March, we suffered severe losses.
In June after the restrictions were reduced, customer footsteps were low because of fear of other waves of Coronavirus.
But now businesses see some revival even though it still hasn’t returned to normal.
The biggest problem we face is an increase in our fixed expenditure, such as electricity and gas cooking bills.
In the past year, sales have fallen, but this expenditure continues to increase.
Therefore, we ask the country and center to do something to support our industry, such as reducing power costs and introducing interest-free loans.
“Prem Singh Baghel, a event manager, had to turn off his office because there was no business in the past a few months.” Now the question for the party has begun to come, but the majority of people choose for smaller meetings.
It’s okay for me because we’ve been sitting for so long.
We hope everything will improve in the coming months if Covid doesn’t attack anymore.
