New Delhi: The relief for the hospitality sector, the Delhi government has released two months from the license bar fee in hotels and restaurants closed due to locking during the second wave of Covid-19 infection in the city.
This step will help hotels, restaurants, guests guests, motels and clubs in the city that serve liquor in saving money ranging from several thousand to lakh rupees.
Delhi went to the lock when hit by the second wave of Covid-19 infection.
All bars in hotels and restaurants are closed from April 16 to June 20 after orders from Delhi disaster management authorities (DDMA).
The Excise Ministry has been directed by license holders to pay the cost of extending their excise licenses from 1 July to 30 September.
“Considering the impact of Covid-19 and Lockdown on hotels and restaurants in Delhi, competent authorities considering the provisions of the regulation of 49 of Delhi’s 2010 excise rules, have decided that the locking period (April 16 to June 20) can be treated as a license cancellation,” said the command of the department Excise on Wednesday.
Thus, the license fee paid by the license for the first quarter of 2021-22 can be adjusted to the second quarter (July 1 to September 30), he said.
The department has also extended the last date of payment of license fees for the second quarter from June 30 to July 31.
The order will benefit the L-15 / L-15 F, L-16 / L-16F, L-16F, License holder, L-16F, L.
-17 / L-17F, L-18 / L-18F, L-19 / L-19F , L-20 / L-20F, L-28 / L-28F, L-29 / L-29 F.
Department direct the license to pay the rest of the balance of the second quarter license fee (after adjustment) on July 31, fails that doubling the quarterly amount of costs will be charged.
