Patna: The police restored the body of an RJD activist from the rice fields on the outskirts of Revra Singiyari Village under the Khanpur Police Station area in Samastipur Regency on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Krishna Rai (58), a resident of Revra Singiyari Village.
His wife Hema Devi is a sarpanch candidate from Revra Panchayat.
The poll is scheduled to take place in Pancrayat on 3.
November Police said the murder was probably the fall of land disputes.
“Rai has a dispute with one of his cousins, Kumar Manish, on the land of six-kattha,” police added.
Samastipur SP Manavjit Singh Dhillon said Rai was shot from behind.
“Rai has left his residence for the fields before sunrise.
The villagers saw his body lying in a pool of blood there and told the police,” he said.
Dhillon said Manish was arrested in connection with this case.
The probe ordered to the police shooting Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh has ordered a master’s investigation into police Dhanarua who shot where one person died and the other three were injured on Friday night.
The role of Inspector Majiuri Circle who was injured by Ram Kumar Prasad was under suspicion.
Mauriya Panchayat Mukhiya Prospective Satayendra was also accused of avoiding the masses of the police.

“Masurhi SDO and SPDO have been asked to submit the initial report about the incident within 24 hours,” he added.
Singh said the villagers had accused that CI used excessive strength.
DM added he had formed a medical board that did postmortem at the victim amid the presence of a judge at PMCH on Saturday.
“The whole process is also recorded video.
The disadvantaged family will be given all possible assistance,” said DM.
Patna SSP Upendra Kumar Sharma also visited the village on Saturday morning.
He said two pine-one by the dead young youth and the other by the police – would be submitted.
