Times News Network Varanasi: Averera Team, the Mobile-Mobile of Iit (BHU) Research Team, has brought the Institute’s victory with his victory at the Shell Eco-Marathon 2021.
The Averera team won the first position in the Shell Eco-Marathon Global Season League 2021 among 235 Team of 50 countries around the world and receive a prize of US $ 8,250.

“Shell Eco-Marathon is an annual event to test students’ teams in research, development, creativity and technical skills through various competitions,” said Team Mentor and Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department Dr.
Amitesh Kumar.
About the marathon he said, Shell made various competitions throughout the year under the global league hood.
The Averera team also won the first position in virtual technical inspections, proving the vehicle of the urban concept to meet the automotive industry standards.
In addition, the phenomenal performance of the team in the autonomic programming competition and virtual off-track awards for vehicle design, the driver’s technical and safety simulation practice helps the team reach the first global position at the Virtual League table.

Kumar said that the vehicle developed by the team was very aerodynamic, ergonomic and efficient with a carbon fiber body, which made it very light with a power-to-hard ratio to ensure the safety of the driver.
The team appoints manufacturing efficient vehicles, motors, and battery simulations to reduce the weight of the vehicle and increase its reach.
When India fought against the Covid-19 pandemic, it also stopped the progress of the team.
Although these difficult times, the team restructured their work to achieve maximum efficiency remotely and developed the Shivaay of the Urban 1.0 concept vehicle with maximum precision.
Team members include Himanshu Sahu, Snehal, Shubham Yadav, Abhay Agrawal, Shashank Kumar, Rishabh Singh, Sweekar Banthiya, Tejas Chavan, Shasshank Maddeshiya, Sushrut Mirzapure, Rohan Nemade and Vikas.
