The impact of the dengue continues, but the case reports sporadically

Prasagraj: Because the impact of dengue fever outbreak continues, the calculation of cases of dengue fever in the district has crossed the 981 mark.
The cases reported this year were 17 times more than the previous year when Sangam City reported only 56 cases.
However, the health department official claimed that there was currently no one hotspot in the Prayagraj district and the reported sporadic case came from a random location.
About 72% of the total 981 cases have been reported from the city location, said the Ministry of Health officials.
Some teams from the City Ministry of Health and Corporations have conducted a survey of more than 2.75 lakh houses in the city limits to find out the reasons behind the spread of diseases borne by vectors to take appropriate corrective steps.
Officials recognize that around 40% of houses with deserted coolers, flower pots and abandoned or unused articles disposed of on the roof are found as a breeding place for mosquitoes in the city.
Officials say that the owners or tenants of the house are most disrupted to clean up their coolers, flower pots, or even throw out articles that are not used stored on the roof side of the house for a month.
Also, the number of waterways and areas that witnessed water logging for various reasons also turned into an area for mosquito breeding.
Malaria District Officer (DMO) Ak Singh told TOI on Thursday, “the city team and the health team that conducted a door-to-door survey found that larvae developed in a number of places in housing places, including objects left on the roof , flower pots, lonely coolers and old tires.
In addition, the plot is open in low areas and areas that show water logging also change the reasons for breeding for mosquitoes.
“The fact is that there is no area, Mohallah or the remaining colony in the city that has not reported the case – Dengue face.
“Homeowners or tenants must regularly clean water sites in their homes.
If it is impossible to drain water, a little kerosene can be poured in it to kill larvae,” DMO added.
