Guwahati: Online event in connection with the inauguration of the National Green Corps (NGC) -eco Club in Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara (KVK) was held in front of students and school teachers along with the official galaxy here recently.

The main objective of this event is to make KV Khanapara is part of a network of more than 1.5 lakh Eco Club countries established under the Green National Corps scheme, the mainstay campaign of the Union Ministry of Forest Environment & Climate Change (MOEF & CC).
The event was subject to Dimpy Bora, Division Forest Officer, Social Forestry Division, Guwahati, Dr.
Jaideep recently, head (I / c) Environmental Division at Assam Science Technology and the Board Environment (ASTEC), Dr.
Chandra recently, scientific officers & Nodal State officers from the NGC program in Assam and Dr.
Sanjay Kumar, Principal, Kv Khanapara.
In his remarks address, Dr.
Sanjay Kumar expressed the establishment of the ECO NGC club in a leading city school.
He further added the relevance of ECO clubs with the school curriculum and sustainable development of the community and urged students to participate to be responsible for using natural resources.

Chandra Baroah, in his presentation gave a general review of the technology of Assam Science and the Environmental Council and the National Green Corps (Eco Club), explaining the role and purpose of the ECO Club cadre.
Jaideep recently then gave insight into Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee vision about involving the younger generation in natural conservation and its resources.
He further added that attachments with nature would help children in decision making against natural conservation, once they became responsible citizens.
He appreciated the leadership and initiative taken by Ihsan Muhammad’s 12 grant in establishing a club by coordinating with Astec.
In addition, recently admired his contribution as an internship in climate change studies, carried out by ASTEC.
NGC is the main initiative of MOEF & CC to create environmental awareness.
Launched in 2001-02 with the aim of building small child cadres who work towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Astec has become the Nodal Agency of the State of Assam since the beginning and has so far 9,000 ECO clubs have been established throughout the state.
This was followed by the announcement of the names of the Green Captain and Deputy Captain KVK Eco Club.
As Green Captain, Ihsan Muhammad grant, a student who believes working with nature for nature, in his speech mentioned the role of children like him in sustainable terms towards sustainability.
Being a green captain, he explained about the proposed activities to be done by the KVK Eco Club and expressed his desire to work to protect the environment and sustainable development.
Guest Head of the Dimpy Bora event, expressed his warm hopes for children for carrying out various activities under the ECO Club program.
He emphasized mass plantations and provided various plantation tips – what should be planted, where planting and when planting.
He suggested planting original fruits and also urgent to take care of puppies planted.
Together with students, teachers, especially Babu Ram, Deputy Head of KVK and Navaneeta Bhattacharyya, ECO club teachers who are responsible for KVK take a proactive role in the event.
