New Delhi: The Indian C-17 Air Force on Sunday evacuated 168 people including 107 Indians from Kabul in the midst of a deteriorating security situation in the Capital of Afghanistan after the Taliban took over.
Another group of 87 Indians and two Nepalese citizens flown on the Indian Air Force (IAF) to the capital of Tajikistan Dushanbe from Kabul on Saturday, arrived in Delhi on Sunday morning, said people with these developments.
They were taken back on Indian special air flights from Dushanbe, they said.
Separately, a group of 135 Indians, who were previously evacuated from Kabul to Doha in the last few days by the US and NATO aircraft, also returned to India.

“The evacuation continues! The IAF special flight repatriation with 168 onboard passengers, including 107 Indian citizens, are on our way to Delhi from Kabul,” Spokesman for the External Ministry of Arindam Bagchi Tweeted.

Two Nepalese citizens were also evacuated.
India evacuated 200 people including Indian envoys and other staff from the embassy in Kabul in two heavy lifting aircraft C-17 from IAF after the Taliban mastered Kabul.
