New Delhi: The Indian education system has taken a giant leap with the introduction of new national education policies (NEP), the newly appointed Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Thursday.
Pradhan was given a educational portfolio in the expansion of the ministerial council on Wednesday.
Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Subhas Sekhar and Annapurna Devi was appointed as Minister of State for Education.
In his first meeting as Minister of Education, Pradhan said, “The Indian education system has taken a giant leap with the introduction of NEP, to foster the environment to create India ready in the future.
The policy was not only welcomed in India but also a foreign country.” “We are committed to making students and young stakeholders in encouraging India to a fair knowledge society,” he said.
The meeting was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended by head-funded technical institutions, including IIT and IISC.
