The Indian men’s badminton team lost 1-3 to Denmark in the Thomas Cup

Aarhus: The Indian Badminton team suffered 1-3 defeats for a formidable Denmark in the quarter-finals to bend from the Thomas Cup on Friday.
Only a pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwikarajdy can post a victory for the team that managed to get to the Thomas Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2010.
Kidambi Srikanth who struggled was revealed by opponent number 2 of the world and Tokyo Olympic Viktor Axelsen, who won the first match 21-12 21-13 in 38 minutes.
Srikanth trailed all through the first game and the closest he could approach Axelsen when the score was 4-3 in the help of Dane.

The world number 10 men’s double men Chirag Shetty and Satwikaraj Ranking, however, bring India back to the match with a three-match victory over the Duo Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen.
The Indian duo won 21-15, 17-21, 21-18 in a match that lasted one hour and 12 minutes.
However, Denmark, however, regained the advantage after the world number 3 Anders Antonsen easily defeated B Sai Praneeth 21-8, 21-15 in the second single in 45 minutes.
A pair of Mr Arjun and Kapila Dhruv then lost 16-21, 9-21 to Mathias Christiansen and Frederik Sougaard in the second double to seal the tie supporting Denmark.
In the group stage, India has defeated the Netherlands and Tahiti with identical margins 5-0 before losing to China which was tough 1-4.
India was second behind China in the group to qualify for the Thomas Cup quarter-final for the first time since 2010.
Indian women’s team also fell from the Uber Cup after losing 0-3 to Japan.
