LONDON: The Indian contingent on Monday departed for London for the second test against England in Lord’s even though substitute, Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw, remained at Nottingham to complete their quarantine.
It was lowned that the entire Indian contingent went to London around 11 am local time after each member was tested negative for RT-PCR.
The second test began on August 12.
Shaw and Suryakumar, which are connected with the squad in Nottingham on August 3, will only finish the quarantine of their 10 days on August 13, which means they can only practice from August 14 and will be available for the selection of the third test, starting August 25 in Leeds.
The nine-day gap between the second and third tests will definitely provide sufficient duo opportunities to train and prepare the match if the management team feels the need to play both.
