Brisbane: The opening of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team Smriti Mandhana said that his party had increased “massively” since the last defeat of the World T20 to Australia last year and will be “extra competitive” during the upcoming series here which also shows the first day test sightseeing.
India and Australia are arranged to lock horns in multi-format series consisting of three odi, day-night tests and three T20s, starting September 21.
The test will be played from September 30 to October 3 in Canberra.
The last time the two sides met was in the Women’s World Cup final in the MCG last year where the host had hammered India at 85 walks to lift the trophy.
“The team has grown massively (since the T20 World Cup),” said Mandhana to ‘The Scoop Podcast’.
Indian squad completed the Hard Hotel Quarantine 14 days on Monday.

The team also looks forward to playing the first pink ball game.
“We are all very happy to play cricket, whatever quarantine period,” Mandhana said.
The team will play a warm-up match in Brisbane on Saturday.
