New Delhi: It’s only four days from the 14-day hard quarantine of the Indian women’s cricket team in a “small” hotel room in Brisbane but isolation began to take victims on the players, a BCCI official said.
The official told PTI that the rooms were too small in government institutional quarantine facilities with players somehow managed to do light training.
“The room is too small.
You barely managed to move and do training.
There are no guards on guard like the players watched in England but it was very tight.” The food is fine and there changes the menu every day.
This will be two challenging weeks, “said the official.
The players had an easier time in England because they were allowed to practice in the first week of their quarantine after spending two weeks in isolation in Mumbai.
The troops arrived in Brisbane Monday after changes in Travel plans due to restrictions related to Covid-19 in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, the original venue for this series consisted of three odi, day-night tests and three T20s.
All matches will now be played in Queensland by starting from the series which is likely to be postponed by two Days to September 21.
The men’s cricket team, which toured Australia this year, was allowed to practice for a limited period of time.
Limited women were limited to 14 days.
Australia is among countries that have imposed some loudest restrictions on international travelers to curb Covid-19.
