Bhubaneswar: Construction Work Institute of Chemical Technology’s Odisha Campus (IC-IOC Bhubaneswar) will begin after August 20.
The foundation stone for the campus will be placed on Friday by the Head of Minister of Naveen Patnaik in the presence of the Minister of Education Union Dharmendra Minister Pradhan and Petroleum Hardeep Singh Puri.
The state government has allocated 111.79 hectares of land for this permanent campus at Godput Matiapada under Delang Tehsil from Puri Regency.
It was near IIT Bhubaneswar’s permanent campus in Argul.
In the first phase, 73.86 acre land has been allocated to this institute.
With the support of Indianoun Corporation Limited (IOCL), ICT Mumbai has opened its wings in Odisha and opened the new Institute of ICT-IOC Bhubaneshwar on March 18, 2018.

The Institute has started the MTECH executive, MTech Integrated, MTech (2 years) and PhD.
A total of 261 students have been trained so far.
IOCL has contributed the total RS 95 Crore to the date for the Institute, the official source said.

The ICT-IOCB faculty has published around 75 points in international journals.
“It has received a project grant so far more than Rs 10 Crore with commitment other than Rs 15 to two large conferences,” said Bhaskar Narayan Thorat, Director of ICT-IOCB.
On Friday, Naveen will also dedicate the permanent campus of the Skills Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneshwar to the nation in the presence of the Union Minister.
This campus spread in 46.17 hectares of land in Taraboi Village under Jatni Tehsil in Khurda Regency.
It has been functioning from the temporary campus in Mancheswar here since 2016.
“For the next 10 years, SDI Bhubaneswar imagined to train more than 50,000 trainees in a multidisciplinary course through his new campus,” said Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Chair of the Institute.
