Apple turned out to be a smartphone brand with the highest market share in the world at Q4 2021, with the iPhone into the most popular smartphone brand in the world, according to the Canalys report.
The technology giant took Lion 22% of the global smart phone market which was driven mainly by the sale of iPhone 13, with Samsung following his heels with 20%, the report said.
In 2020 also, Apple had ruled in the top position with 23% and Samsung in second place with 17%.
“Apple returned at the top of the smartphone market after three quarters, driven by star performance from the iPhone 13,” said Canalys analyst Sanyam Chaurasia.
According to the report, some unprecedented iPhone sales in mainland China, driven by the aggressive price of companies helped Apple with overall growth.
This report added that Apple supply chains showed signs of recovery but the company was forced to cut iPhone production in Q4 due to the lack of the main iPhone component, which caused a unit lower than the request.
As a result, the technology giant can meet the demand for iPhones in certain markets prioritized, while in other markets, customers must wait for the latest iPhone unit.
The supply chain problem and the resurrection of the Covid-19 case is the reason for sending the iPhone as a whole growing with 1% in Q4 2021, adding a report.
The supply chain problem also works for Samsung’s interests and helps South Korean smartphone makers close the gap.
Coming to the other three brands that formed the top 5 list, Xiaomi received a third place with a market share of 12%, OPPO got a fourth place with a market share of 9% while Vivo secured the fifth place with a market share of 8%.
