PANAJI: Startup (SPC) promotion cells are cleared by RS 12 Lakh as a seed capital incentive for three startups that have been launched by Goan Entrepreneurs.
This is the second and third phase of seed funds that have been released by the Mattzus Learning Technology Department, Attort Legal Consulting, and Uzoornba.
“Our efforts to improve the startup ecosystem in Goa and provide support to entrepreneurs continue in full swing,” said IT Minister Jennifer Monserrate said.
Under Goa Startup Policy, the government offers a capital capital incentive at 10 lakh Rs to startup, which is disbursed in three stages.
IT Director Ankita Anand confirmed that the funds had been disbursed to the three startups.
“The SPC will continue to work on initiatives for the benefits of Goan startup,” Anand said.
Maxwell Rodrigues, co-director Mattzus Learning Technologies, thanked the government to channel funds, which had been delayed by almost a year.
Although the capital fund scheme is popular among state startups, the IT Goa Department has decided to stop it and vice versa to help Goan’s startup to get funds from the Indian Startup seed fund scheme.
