Ghaziabad: The Joint District Hospital (DCH) has asked the Ayurvedic department to empty the night shelter currently occupied, by saying with winter settings, the place is needed for homeless and poor.
The hospital administration has warned the department will remove all its belongings if it fails to do within two days.
In a letter to Ayurveda and regional Unani officers, the Superintendent Medical Hospital head, Dr.
Sanjay Teotia, wrote, “You have been asked many times to empty the night shelter at this hospital.
Once again you are reminded that winter has begun and appropriate With the highest priority of the state government, the night shelter must be made functional in the hospital.
“” You (Ayurveda Officer) is directed to empty the night shelter entirely within two days with direct effects.
If the shelter is not emptied within two days, then You will be responsible for any administrative actions, “said the letter.
Officials informed that the Ayurveda Department carried out the pharmacy counter and registration from the shelter while the OPD was being run on the first floor of the hospital.
Dr.
Ashok Rana, the Ayurveda officer, said, “We have shifted here in accordance with the government’s orders issued three years ago and ready to empty the shelter.
We have requested an alternative place and write a letter to the hospital administration.”
