The Karnataka Government is likely to wear green cracker norms this year too

Bengaluru: Just like last year, the state government tends to limit the celebration of diwali to green crackers to limit the spread of coronavirus novels and threats of other respiratory infections which usually spread much faster during the winter.
While fresh cases have dropped, the number of Covid-19 cases is active in the lowest state since March 16 when the second wave begins.
However, given the intensity of the second wave, the government alert triggers one third.
In a similar situation last year, the Head of the BS Minister Yediyurappa has banned all types of firecrackers but to do turn and allow green crackers after the government is under strong pressure from pro-hindutva groups and ruled BJP legislators.
The Government of Basavaraj Bommai is likely to face a similar challenge, because the Karnataka pollution control board is actively considering forcing the ‘zero cracker’ norm that imagines the ban on the total cracker to keep air pollution under control.
“A ‘Zero Cracker’ Diwali is what we see, because protecting public health and safety is a priority in the situation given,” said Srinasulu, Secretary of the Karnataka State Polution Control Body (KSPCB).
“We are waiting for a guide from the Central Pollution Control Agency (CPCB) in this case.
Based on CPCB guidelines, we will send our recommendations to the Government.” To anticipate the strict guideline for the Board of Control Pollution, the state government is looking at ways to ensure this DIWALI subtle celebration .
Officials at the State Health Department and the Department of Family Welfare said the government leaned towards green crackers and forced the ban on all other types.
“We need to consider various factors before completing the SOP for Diwali celebrations.
We will ask the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to provide recommendations,” said Anil Kumar TK, the main secretary for the Ministry of Health.
TAC has compiled a guideline for the celebration of the newly concluded and Eid-Milad, which will be celebrated on Tuesday.
Panel members said the government would likely call a meeting this weekend.
“Allowing green crackers is an option, but we need to wait for a pollution control board recommendation,” said Dr.
MK Sudarshan, Tac Chairman.
The shell of green crackers is much smaller, and also has fewer raw material pollutants.
Special composition ensures fewer smoke.
“In normal firecrackers, heavy metals such as chromium and cadmium produce attractive colors.
Green crackers remove these heavy metals which harm the lungs,” said Srinivasulu.
Dr.
V Ravi, famous virology and TAC members, said it was important to avoid this winter smokemitting firecrackers because it would be cooler than usual thanks to the long-term long-term spells.
“Respiratory infections generally occur when the temperature goes down,” said Dr.
Ravi.
“About a dozen viruses including breathing syncytial viruses, adenovirus, enterovirus, influenza and parainofluenza tend to be common, while many cases of dengue fever have been reported.
It is better to avoid crackers because the Coronavirus novel is still there, in addition to other viruses.”
