Kalaburagi: Polling to choose the mayor and deputy mayor will be held on February 5 at the City Hall.
The mayor’s post is reserved for the scheduled caste, and the mayor’s deputy post is reserved for the general category.
The chairman for various committees stands will be appointed on the same day.
At present, there are 27 Corporators Congress, 24 BJP companies and 4 JD corporators, out of a total of 55 wards.
Including two members of parliament, three mlaz and three MLC, the number of members in the corporation is 63, and most of the 32 votes are needed to win the election.
BJP has now included 5 MLC again in the Corporation Corporation Kalaburagi voter list, because the total amount will increase to 68, and most of the 35 votes are needed to get a simple majority, and BJP has this number.
Including MP, 2 MLA, 3 MLC and 24 Corporators, BJP has 30 votes.
However, after entering five more names such as Laxman Savadi, Tulas Gowda, Lehar Singh, Bharathi Shetty and Raghunathrao Malkapura, five new names have been included, because where BJP has increased its strength to 35.
Congressman has opposed this, and has submitted a complaint letter to Regional commissioner.
Meanwhile, hatred has developed in Hubballi-Dharwad, where the corporators chosen in September have not been officially sworn, and the election of the mayor has not been held.
Congress has asked the state government to speed up the process.
