Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Government on Monday issued a Nipah Management Plan that included a health protocol to be attended by the government and private hospitals.
The Minister of Health of Veena George in a statement said the district authorities could prepare separate management plans for Nipah and also inform you that the guidelines for treatment and disposal were also published.
He asked all the district authorities to remain cautious and still observed those affected by the Ensefalitis of the State Health Department in high alert after a 12-year-old boy from Kozhikode surrendered to the nipah virus infection on Sunday.
“The main objective is the supervision, testing and care of the patient.
As part of supervision, effective contact and quarantine contacts will be carried out.
The treatment protocol will be strictly followed and will continue to be monitored,” Minister said in the release.
The Nipah Management Plan will be coordinated at the state level, district and hospital.
The State Committee consists of the minister’s chairman, the Minister of Health, Head of Chief, Secretary of Health, Disaster Management of Additional Head Secretary, Director of the Ministry of Health and Director of the Ministry of Health, said liberation.
He said that health workers, field workers, doctors and other private hospital staff, and others will be given special training.
The Minister also monitors the function of the Nipah control room at Kozhikode Guest House.
The health department had previously identified 188 children’s contacts since August 27.
Samples of seven people among 20 high-risk contacts children have been sent to Pune NIV for testing and the results are awaited.
