Kalaburagi: Appearance can cheat, but not always.
One example in which ancient saying is likely to be proven wrong is Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC), which is forced to wear a faded uniform and even torn, not provided new for the past three years.
In addition to KKRTC, three other divisions of Karnataka State Road Transport Transport Corporation (KSRTC) have struggled to find funds to distribute new uniform sets to their employees.
Employees throughout the KSRTC Division have not issued a new uniform since 2018.
KKRTC employees, including mechanics, conductors, drivers and security staff, released two new pairs of uniforms every year, besides that they are given money – RS 175 stitching fees.
Although the corporation must give each employee set of shoes along with two pairs of uniforms, the KKRTC is used to give staff a number of Rs 500 in lieu of footwear.
On the one hand, the driver, conductor and personnel employ the Don Khaki KKRTC uniform, while mechanics wearing dark blue clothes.
Take four divisions, the KSRTC caused a big loss after the Covid-19 outbreak, and many employees must remain satisfied with the salary paid once in two months.
Fortunately, the situation has increased with employees paid their monthly salary on time, but the fiscal crisis that the corporation rolled over with KSRTC did not have enough funds to distribute new uniforms to his staff.
KSRTC hires, in four divisions, 1.2 Lakh employees.
The KKRTC conductor told the Times of India, “We were punished by officers if we did not wear uniforms to work.
How can they expect us to wear uniforms when they know that we have not been issued a new set.
I have been wearing Khaki shirt, which is torn.
My pants too Torn, and in a condition is not charged.
But I have done my duty for the past few months, managing with just one shirt.
