Delhi government school students have proven that lack of funds could never be a barrier to the fulfillment of their dreams.
Kushal Garg, son of a carpenter from Delhi Kishanganj, realizing his ambition to crack NEET in 2021 with this aim in view.
With the All India Rank (AIR) 165, he was ready to join AIIMS and aspires to be a neurosurgeon.
“Both my parents suffered a nervous breakdown in the past-my mother used to have epilepsy and my father was a victim of depression.
This reinforces my determination to become a neurosurgeon and serve the disadvantaged in remote areas, “said the 18 who take a gap year to improve rankings in the medical entrance exam.
It was the second attempt, and one that paid off well, as he scored 700 marks out of 720, as opposed to the previous 531 score which he secured last year.

He also dropped one year and willing to take chances.
Her score of 559 in the NEET in 2020 may have forced him to go out of Delhi, had he not made a second attempt in 2021 NEET.
terms of confidence
Connecting the success of the students to the Delhi government focus on education and health, Dr Arun Kumar Gupta, president, Delhi Medical Council, said, “The recent turnaround is the result of the micro-level monitoring by the Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on the state of education in school- Delhi government schools.
Focus on improving school infrastructure and rejuvenation of school management committees to be more vibrant and active keys were also detained.
Both teachers and students from government schools were imbued with confidence, a trait that was previously lacking.
It’s ‘can-do’ attitude that work to their advantage.

Confidence and hard work of the students can not be understated.
That coupled with proper guidance and encouragement shown by the government in Delhi has catapulted the career of students to newer heights, “said Dr.
Aloy J Mukherjee, senior consultant, Access Minimal, Gastro intestinal, bariatric and Robotic Surgery, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, apart from the regular practice of clinical involved in caring for patients from EWS category in Delhi-NCR and know too well their personal property.
The inspiration for others
According to Dr Mukherjee, there are 10 medical colleges and three dental colleges in Delhi / NCR.
“Last year, 569 students from government schools of Delhi has cleared the competitive examinations and data collected by the government showed that only about 10% print cut-off required for admission to government medical colleges.
But the passion and determination to succeed is always a success stems.
Guidance to help, but the focus is intrinsic.
Therefore, the students and their parents, mentors and trainers need to be praised as their efforts have been fruitless so far.
It will inspire more aspiring children to pursue their dreams and appreciate, “he said.
Focus on performance
Kushal, for example, owes most of its success Dakshini Foundation, an NGO that provided free coaching, books and boarding facilities in Pune where the campus is located.
After cleaning their qualifying exam, Kushal was selected along with 179 other students to spend nearly a year in Pune, single-mindedly focus on NEET 2021.
This means that 12 hours of rigorous study sans interruption.
“We were not allowed to have a television or a cell phone, and can talk to our families only once a month.
All our classes are offline even when a pandemic even though not a single case was reported Covid.
Foundations follows the pattern of quick learning that helps save time and make us more performance-centric.
I want to see my parents happy and help them become financially solvent.
It is but a small price to pay, “he added.
