Hyderabad: While the center has requested to declare to increase RT-PCR testing at least 60% and maintain antigen testing at 40%, after the threat of Omicron, Telangana has done more than 90% of the antigen test.
The state has a stock of less than three lakh RT-PCR testing kits to increase it to the suggested level.

During a meeting review by the center on the status and preparedness of Covid-19 in countries considering Omicron, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan directed the country to increase the RT-PCR ratio.
