The lack of vaccines causes flash protests in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: People throughout the country continue to protest flash and make angry calls to the 104 assistance channel on Wednesday morning when the bulletin board in many government vaccine centers throughout the state, “no vaccine”.
During the day, officials from the country’s immunization wing received a nod from the UNI Ministry of Health to take 2.5 lakh doses from the Warehouse Center – Depot of the Government Medical Store in Pereatet.
However, many Central, West and South District did not receive stock until late at night.
At 8pm, the state was vaccinated 83,141 people.
Health Minister Ma Subramanian said the new shares they received would last only for another day.
“We know the vaccine is the only effective tool that we have against the third wave that is anticipated.
We try to vaccinate as many people as possible,” he said.
In Madurai, from 3 in the morning several people queued outside the Elango Corporation Boys Higher Secondary School, a vaccination center attached to the Rajaji government hospital.
When health officials install a notification that the vaccine is not available, people raise the slogan that demands a vaccine.
Health officials in the district closed several centers because they only have 3,320 doses.
Meanwhile, Greater Chennai Corporation announced on its web page that the vaccination drive would be paused until further stock arrived.
During the day, health officials reached the perimet lab to take stock.
“We have sent this dose to the district but vaccination in many districts will be continued only on Thursday,” Subramanian told reporters.
He also urged people to stop street protests.
During June, the country was allocated 42 doses of lakh, but the center gave 5 additional lakh doses.
The addition of 2.5 doses of lakh on Wednesday took the June counting to almost 50 doses of lakh.
For July, the Ministry of Health Union has been allocated a dose of 71.5 lakh.
Of this number, 17.75 doses of lakh have been set aside for private hospitals.
This means that the country will only have 53 doses of lakh – around three lakh more than in June – and the lack of possibility will continue.
Then, Subramanian marked the “drive vaccination of Mega Covid” which was launched by Apollo Hospitals Group in Chennai.
The hospital said it would launch drive vaccination from 200 centers throughout India.
TN will receive 36,610 covaxin doses at 9am on Thursday, said DH TS Selvavinayagam.
