Lucknow: The day after the Congress released the first list of candidates for the selection of the first Vidhan Sabha, the campaigners who appeared in the poster for ‘Ladki Hoon Lad Sakti Hoon’, Priyanka Maurya, accused that the selection process of candidates was cheated.
“Congress uses my face and social media follower bases for their campaign but rejected tickets to me because I can’t bribe Priyanka Gandhi’s helper,” Priyanka told reporters.
Priyanka, a homeopathic practitioner and prospective ticket from the Sarojininagar assembly chair in Lucknow, said the party’s leadership made it dark.
“They made me complete the procedure but announced the name of someone else.
When everything was decided before, why did they waste my time,” he replied.
Denying allegations, deputy chairman of congress media, said Pankaj Srivastava, “This is a baseless and silly claim.
The party is engaged to him for the campaign.
Candidate selection is done through a fair process.” Meanwhile, another ticket seeker of Bakshi Ka Talab, Sheela Mishra, sat in the Congress office on Friday when his name was not looking in the list.
Mishra is a member of the Congress Committee up and has been linked to the party for more than two decades now.
