Gurgaon: Haryana will start third serological survey – the largest – began Wednesday to determine how many people in the state have developed antibodies against Covid-19.
A total of 36 520 samples will be collected during the three days of the 22 districts.
A sero survey is intended to monitor the trend of the prevalence and spread of a disease, which can help design and implement containment measures accordingly.
Sero survey three states will cover those over the age of six years.

In the first sero survey, 18,700 samples – 850 from each district – gathered while the second survey to collect 15,840 samples, or 720 of the respective districts.

In 3000, Gurgaon will account for the highest number of samples.
Of these, 1,800 will be up, 900 will be aged between 10 and 17 while 300 will be aged between 6 and 9.
Chief medical officer Gurgaon Virender Yadav said 75 clusters – 45 rural and 30 urban – have been identified for the study.
Every day, 25 clusters will be covered.
Each cluster will be divided into four quadrants, each of which will consist of 10 households.
Six adults, three teenagers (aged 10 to 17 years) and one child (aged 6 to 9 years old) will be selected from the home to the size of a sample of 10 is reached.
A total of 40 individuals in each village or ward will be registered for the survey, the CMO added.
The health team consisting of 12 inspectors will record the selected individual information, including name, age, sex, vaccination status, and whether they have covid or if they suffer from comorbidities anywhere, on the mobile app.
Gurgaon will be followed by NUH (2,700 samples), Ambala (2,400), Karnal (2200), PANPAT (2000), BHIWANI (1800), Kurukshetra (1720), Sonepat (1600), Fatehabad (1,600), Jind (1600), Jhajjar (1,600), Rohtak (1,600), Panchkula (1520), Rewari (1,400), Yamunanagar (1480), Kaitida (1320), Faridabad (1.320), Hisar (1080), Mahendergarh (1200), Mahendergarh (1200), Mahendergarh (1200)), Sirsa (1000) and palwal (800).
