Ahmedabad: Gujarat on January 14 crossed 9 cumulative cases, becoming the 12th Indian country to cross the landmark.
1 The last lakh case was recorded in 223 days since June 6, 2021, until January 14.
The previous 1 lakh case (7 lakh to 8 lakh) was recorded in just 24 days from May 13 to June 5.
The case analysis revealed that the city’s share of Ahmedabad increased in the last 1 lakh case.
Compared to 23% of cases recorded between May 13 and June 5, from June 6 to January 14, the city’s share is 33% or a third of the total state counting.
“A number of factors are responsible for the phenomenon – carefully the large population, more tests, and faster spread in close-knitted environments,” said a city-based epidemiologist.
“In the last 224 days or more than seven months, the city has recorded zero cases at only three occasions – 35, 25, and 27.” Epidemiologists add the opposite, this city has contributed at least 20-30% of daily calculations.
“On January 12, the city again touched the number 3,843 – more than two cases per minute on average,” said the epidemiology.
“It’s seven months high for the city.” On Saturday, the city recorded 2,621 cases, 15% less than Friday 3,090.
It is a calculation of four-day low daily cases for the city.
Ahmedabad also recorded the deaths of two active cases -Use number two after seven months.
Experts say that the level of hospitalization and death is higher among senior citizens and comorbidities.
