New Delhi: The Delhi government has extended the last date for certain EWS candidates to report to schools until September 30, according to officials of the Education Directorate (DOE).
“The last date for reporting candidates successfully chosen below the economically weaker category (EWS) in each school has been extended until September 30th.
This will be the final opportunity for reporting by candidates chosen in each school,” Yogesh Singh, Deputy Director of Education said in a letter to a private school.

Of the 25 per cent of the EWS chairs, 22 percent are provided for less fortunate groups and 3 percent for children with disabilities.
The students were selected through a computerized draw carried out by the Delhi government.
