Haffin plants can play a role in increasing covaxin production.
Haffin officials say technology transfer is a gradual process and will occur gradually.
Shankarwar said after the laboratory was validated, three batch vaccines would be produced and tested for three months.
If everything is fine, vaccine production can be started in April and the vaccine can hit the market in May.
Haffin officials said they could produce 22.8 covaxin crore doses every year.
