The launch of TV Yoga Teacher Ramdev in Nepal faces the opposition

Kathmandu: The Nepalese government will take action against two Yoga Teacher Ramdev television channels if it is found that they are operated in this country without asking permission or following a legal procedure, a senior official said on Sunday.
Prime Minister Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba and the Communist Party of Maoist Chairman Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ jointly launched two TV channels – Aastha Nepal TV and Patanjali Nepal TV – in front of Ramdev and Acharya Balkishna’s death on Friday.
Channels are intended to broadcast religious and yoga related programs.
However, Director General of the Nepal Information Department and Broadcasting Gogan Bahadur Hamal said that two television channels never submitted registration and did not follow the legal procedure to start.
“We will take action if we find that the Patanjali Nepal and Ashtha Nepalese channel belonging to Yoga Teacher Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna have built infrastructure to broadcast television programs without fulfilling all legal formalities and have even registered,” said Hamal PTI.
“We do not believe the statements issued by Patanjali Nepal.
We have established an investigation committee to find out the truth.
If they have made preparations regarding operating television channels from Nepal without our permission, we will do it take the necessary actions,” Hamal said.
However, Patanjali Yogpeeth Nepal said in a statement that it had gone through a verification process for television channels from the company’s office applicant and the process had begun for further permission from the bodies concerned to operate the television channel.
“We haven’t really broadcast television channels, we only make technical preparations for the same thing.
We only inaugurate the television broadcast office building,” he said.
It is said that television channels – are intended for broadcasting programs related to Yoga, Ayurvedic Education, Culture, Literature and Spiritual Philosophy – will start operating only after the legal process.
Commenting on Development, Patanjali Spokesman SK Tijarawala said that Aastha TV had a license because of Downlinks in Nepal, which was valid until 2024.
“Prime Minister Debuba inaugurated a two-channel trial – Aastha Nepal TV – Aastha Nepal – with the country’s special content in Nepalese language in 19 November 2021.
It has got 30 days of time to get commercial approval for this experiment for a complete telecast, “he said.
He said that full broadcasts will begin in accordance with the legal procedure after December 19.
“Information & Broadcasting of the Nepalese Government Ministry has acknowledged the fact that the inauguration of these two channels – Aastha Nepal TV and Patanjali Nepal TV – is in accordance with the thorough test after regulations and regulations,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Nepal Journalists, local journalist umbrella organizations, issued a statement, said the country’s law prevented foreign investment in the media and television launch channel by the Patanjali group was a violation of the law.
“We want to remind the group concerned about existing laws and rules that prevent TV channels operating under foreign investment,” he said.
