Dehradun: The Head of the Uttarakhand Women’s Congress Sarita Arya said on Saturday that he had spoken with senior BJP members and “telling them clearly” that he would join the party if he was given a ticket from Nainital to the upcoming Assembly poll, report Kautilya Singh.
Sarita Arya is MLA from Nainital Chair (SC) booked from 2012 to 2017.
In 2017, he lost to BJP candidate Sanjeev Arya.
However, Sanjeev and his father Yashpal Arya recently returned to Congress, queued with Sarita.
There was a conversation that Sanjeev or his father would get a Congress ticket from Nainital.
He told Tii on Saturday: “Senior Congressman has asked me to help the party win.
I have dedicated myself to this (nainital) constituency and people here have faith in me.
Dedicated party members should not be ignored.
