Speaking to Ani, Yechury said, “Our party is CPI-M and all the left parties exist in supporting this Mahapachayat.
Our main demand is to revoke three black laws authorized in parliament.
Our second request is the minimum support price.

They are ‘annadatas’.
They keep us all alive and the government doesn’t care about listening to them .
Government mercilessly like this has not been seen in India until now, “Yechury said.
Responding to questions about the advice of BJP MP Varun Gandhi about the need to start being involved with the farmers with respect, Yechuri stated that Varun recommendations were in line with their demands but his party worked against the interests of the farmers.
“He asks for what we have demanded but why is he in a party like that who works against the interests of farmers?” question Yechury.
The Bharatiya Janata MP from Pilibhit, Varun Gandhi on Sunday came out to support the farmers and said that the center must understand the pain of farmers.
Targeting the central government even though it became a member of the BJP parliament, Gandhi has defended Mahapachayat Kisan and suggests the central government to re-enter negotiations with farmers.
“Lakh farmers have gathered in protests today, in Muzaffarnagar.
They are our own meat and blood.
We must begin to get involved back with them respectfully: understand their pain, their point of view and work with them in achieving land in common,” Tweeted Varun.
