Srinagar: As part of the ongoing restriction training, the restrictions on Wednesday decided to visit J & K from 6 to 9 to interact with political parties, public representatives and Union regional officials.
The commission, led by retired Supreme Court Judge Ranjana Prakash Desai, will gather information and direct input on the restrictions process to increase the number of assembly and parliament seats in J & K.
“During this period (July 6-9), the Commission will interact with the party -Partai political parties, public representatives and administrative officials of the United States, including District Election officers / Deputy Commissioners of 20 districts of the United States to gather information and input directly about the ongoing restriction process as the mandate under the Jammu & Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, “Read leaflets.
The restriction commission was formed in March 2020 and the term extended the following year in March 2021 considering the ongoing pandemics.
Besides Desai, the Commission has two Ex-Officio members and five associate members.
While two members of Ex-Officio are Commissioner of the Main Election of Sushil Chandra and the Commissioner of the Election of the State J & K KK Sharma, Associate members are Dr.
Jitendra Singh (Minister of Junior and MP), Jugal Kishore Sharma (MP), Dr.
Farooq Abdullah, Mohammad Akbar Lone and Hasnain Masoodi.
Singh and Sharma came from BJP and came from the Division of Jammu, while Abdullah, Lone and Masoodi belonged to the National Conference and came from the Kashmir division.
Interestingly, at the All-Party meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi held on June 24 in New Delhi, political parties were asked to cooperate with the restriction commission, which has had a series of meetings related to district data maps / related constituencies for the 2011 census .
According to a commission statement, previously invited all members of the association to interaction, but only two of them arose.
