The limiting commission to visit J & K, met with party leaders

The restriction commission on Wednesday decided to visit Jammu and Kashmir from July 6 to July 9 to interact with political parties, public representatives, and election officers from 20 Union regions.
The Commission, led by retired Supreme Court Judge Ranjana Prakash Desai, will collect information and first hand input relating to the ongoing restriction process for J & K to raise the number of seats for assembly and parliament.
“During this period, the Commission will interact with political parties, public representatives, and administrative officials of the trade union, including district election officers and deputy commissioners from 20 districts of the United States to collect information and direct input mandated underneath.

The restriction commission was formed in March 2020 and the term extended the following year in March 2021 considering the ongoing pandemics.
The third member of the Commission, the other is Commissioner of the Main Election of Sushil Chandra, is Commissioner of the Selection of Jammu & Kashmir, Union region.
The Commission also has five members of the association nominated by Lok Sabha’s speaker, three members of parliament including Farooq Abdullah.
and two BJP parliamentarians from Jammu.
NC members have boycotted the previous meeting from the commission.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Modi, political parties were asked to operate together with the restriction commission.
The Commission has held a series of meetings related to district data maps and constituencies.
“A number of representations have also been accepted in various aspects regarding restrictions from civil society and community members of the union area.
The Commission has recorded all the suggestions and directed that this can be intentional further in the context of the reality of the restriction,” said the statement.
