Bhiwandi: The police who arrested a boy because the suspicious movement was surprised to know ‘he’ was a girl who had escaped from the Hadapansar area in Pune and had lived in Bhiwandi for the past nine months.
The little girl lived with her father, who was a plumber, her mother and older brother.
The police said because of his family’s financial condition worsened, he left home last October and traveled a ticket on the train to the omelet.
However, he did not find a job there so he came to Bhiwandi where he disguised himself as a boy and took the name Samir Shaikh.
The police said he landed a job as a maid in the Loom Power unit, but when the Kuncian was again applied during the second wave, he lost his job.
He began living on the streets and began to make a living.
Senior Shital Inspector said, “Initially, the girl told us that she was from Nagpur.
But when we investigate further, he revealed the truth.” Raut said he was not ready to go home or talk to his parents.
“But we advised him and arranged video calls.
After emotional appeal by his parents, he agreed to return,” added Raut.
His parents recently came to Bhiwandi and the family was commencing back at the police station.
The police said he left home last October and took a ticket on the train to the omelet.
He didn’t find a job there so he came to Bhiwandi where he was disguised as a boy
