Vadodara: Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) and BJP in power may have to do a lot of answering about funding for the longest flyover of countries built in the city and other development work.
Funding for the 3.5 km flyover that connects the Circle Genda to Manha Crossroads has come under the cloud after a meeting between state government officials and delegates from the BJP City Unit.
Reports and leaders of the opposition Congress at VMC Ami Ravat have claimed that the state government has expressed a booking in funding flyovers.
VMC sources say about 60% of the flees work has been completed and the project is conceptualized to facilitate traffic on Jalan Padra Lama.
Ravat said that he had raised project funding problems many times, but always guaranteed.
He said that Rs 59 Crore had been transferred from the Swarnim grant to work on flyovers so far.
Swarnim grants are provided by the state for development work.
Other development is likely to suffer if the grant continues to be used for flyovers.
Chairman of the Tetel Committee VMC Hitendra Patel said, “The state state government has ensured that it will ensure the solution to the elevant.
There is an absolute clarity about this.
I failed to understand why everyone cares whether the grant came to flyover or under his opposite.
Praying to claim that RS 110 Crore is more needed to complete the blanket work and show that it will take eight more years to complete the project at the project funded by the project.
