The main malls in Mumbai reopened with the skeleton staff

Mumbai: Many major malls in the city, which closed the business, reopened in part.
From Inorbit in the Maldo to R City Mall in Ghatkopar, many started operating from Friday to ensure that the public was connected to a fixed, especially considering the mal-malls had been closed for months.
Mal operators said they were trying to operate with staff who were fully vaccinated and also with those over the age of 60.

Sachin Dhanawade, COO, Retail & Real Estate, Grauer & Weil (India) Ltd, which operates Growel, said they were arranging for temporary personnel who were fully vaccinated.
“We also set the second dose for staff when they qualify.
The mall here is collaboratively looking for meetings with government authorities to solve problems and help us keep livelihoods that depend on the mall ecosystem,” he said.

CEO, Inorbit Malls India Pvt Ltd and Director of the Indian Shopping Center Association (SCAI), representing the main malls in the city, said they had started with about half a dozen opening stores.
“With the government government, we may be able to operate with staff with full force only at the end of September.
While the system is not financially feasible to run a business, to ensure customer connected, we strive to operate in part,” he said.
A spokesman for Mall City Ghatkopar said they returned from August 20 and will comment on business after assessing numbers in a few days.
