The main power crisis in Punjab as a request quickly shoots

Chandigarh: Punjab, reeling under unprecedented power deficiencies in the midst of intense heat waves, facing an irresistible power outage because the request reached 14,500 MW highs on Thursday, producing a shortage of 1.330 MW supply.
Reminding when Punjab has not claimed the tag of ‘Power Surplus’, there is a long wound in electricity supply throughout the state since the last few days.
Many areas in Mohali face cuts of more than 14 hours since the last 24 hours, Patiala and Bathinda have a power outage of up to seven hours and the parts of the Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Muktsar and Ludhiana have between six and 12 hours.
For more than a week, electricity supply to country rural areas has been restricted and farmers are one of the worst blows during the rice transplant season.
Under the fire because it did not make adequate arrangements for peak power consumption seasons, the Amarinder government pressed the panic button on Thursday and electricity to the industry and changed working hours at the government office until 8am to 2 noon.
Urging all government offices to use electricity, the main minister said the situation was terrible because the peak request in Punjab touched 14,500 MW.
So far, there is no decision made to ban the use of air conditioning in the government office.
The pressure on the Punjab power plant system had never happened before, with farmers needed electricity without interruption to run pumps to supply water for pudding during rice transplants.
To add to the problem, the temperature has been continuous on a surge up with unbearable high humidity because MONSOON plays a game that is difficult to understand in the region.
The highest temperature in Punjab on Thursday is 43o C in Bathinda.
Amarinder also urged employees of the agitating power department to call their stirring, which had worsened the crisis, with complaints from disorders produced from excess feeders and sub-stations that were not addressed immediately.
Reviewing the situation at a high-level meeting, it is a committee of three members, consisting of the main Secretary (Development), PSPCL CMD and Special Secretary (Finance), to resolve complaints of anxious employees.
Prioritize the agricultural sector for without interruption: CMHE assures employees that all their original demands will be considered for the right action.
He showed that many demands of employees, such as the increase in employee share of employees, the recovery of generation incentives etc.
have been conceded, and the scale of the 6th payment commission is also being carried out by various Council / corporate countries.
Indicates that farmers lose the time of valuable rice transplant due to power damage, Amarinder said that the agricultural sector needs to be prioritized for unbroken electricity supply.
He repeated his government’s commitment to ensure regular power supply with subsidized tariffs to agricultural, domestic and state industry consumers.
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) Director (Distribution) DPS Grewal told TII that demand has suddenly emerged because of domestic consumption, but the situation had been reduced after 2pm on Thursday with a forced limit in the industry in Ludhiana and Jalandhar.
“The gap of around 1,200 MW in demand and supply has been taken care of with weekly cutting rotation in the industry.
Error in two units in Talwandi Sabo Thermal Plant – Turbine of One Unit Conked Off in March and ID fans of other units that develop problems – and low water levels In the BBMB reservoir has contributed to the problem, “he said.
AJAY PAL Singh Atwal, Secretary General of the Pseb Engineer Association said, “This is an ‘Emergency Energy’ in Punjab, all because of the preparedness of the peak season.
Industry that is limped back to recovery will be hit by power restrictions.
Overdependence in personal units, lacking Labor and also material to improve un scheduled blackouts and ignore expert advice has led to the current situation.
“Atwal added that even on the Human Resources Front, management had failed miserably because there were no single unions that were not nervous.
Posts have been abolished without any planning.
He claimed that where there had been no additional in the country’s generation, the installation of interconnect transformers was also delayed.
“There seems to be no serious effort made to regulate sufficient strength even though it is anticipated that demand can touch 14,500 MW during the rice season,” he said.
